Has Anyone Tried Ko-fi?

I am Trying to Understand and Use This Interesting Platform

I recently came across an article by A A F regarding the Ko-fi platform. It is a platform where you can write a blog, post photos and videos, and even set up a store to sell merchandise both physical and digital. Readers can “buy you a cup of coffee” which is basically a donation to help you reach a chosen “goal”, such as a new camera to support your photography hobby. Are you confused yet?

For some reason this caught my interest. Not that I expect readers to donate money to my cause, which is as you know writing about my hobbies of gardening, birdwatching, and outdoor adventure. But I guess if they want to. I would also donate to them. We can help each other.

Also of interest to me is the idea of selling merchandise. I have some ideas about what I would like to sell, however, I have yet figured out how to do this. At least the way I want to approach it.

That's where you, the readers, come in. Can you help me? Has anyone opened a “shop” on Ko-fi?

Upon reading through their “help” articles it seems you can fairly quickly set up a shop to sell physical or digital items. However, it would first involve getting your items customized and shipped to you. Then, upon selling them, you would have to ship them yourself to the buyer. This process doesn’t seem efficient at all.

I investigated e-commerce sites such as Printify, and they do support some sites…
