My Almost Daily Journal-A Snowy Day Set The Christmas Mood

Welcome back. Hard to believe. Christmas is not far away. Time always goes fast, but for some reason around the Holidays it seems to go faster. My wife and I are so fortunate to be retired, which allows us more time to enjoy it all. Here’s hoping that you are enjoying this special time of year also.
Overnight we received a coating of snow. Just enough to set the Christmas mood. We’ve had previous snowfalls this Fall, however the snow hasn’t stuck around too long thus far. This weekend it’s supposed to warm up again, just long enough to melt away our Christmas magic. Hopefully, as we get closer to the 25th, the snow will come back and last a little longer. Let it snow!
Today, we took a break from the Christmas prepping activities and visited one of our favorite stores, a local country/primitive/farmhouse décor store featuring many handmade items, since they were having a moving sale. Picked up a few more Christmas items to add to our collection. Our decorations are almost complete with the exception of the dining room tree.
