Sorry to hear this Dennett, that's ridiculous what they are doing with home insurance rates! I hope Captain Argentina makes out OK with dialysis. I am thinking of you guys. My wife and I were fortunate to work for NYS, she was an elementary art teacher for 37 years and I worked for NYS Workers Compensation for 21 years. So we both have pensions and we both also started collecting Social Security at 62. We went through some difficult times back in 1995 when I lost my job with Procter & Gamble Pharmaceuticals and had just bought our current home and had 2 young kids. I got a severance and pension from them but we had to spend that over the next few years since I was unemployed, finally found a job at school as a clerk but for less than half of what I was making. That was a civil service job through the county, eventually I took a NYS clerk exam and then by the grace of God NYS opened a Workers Comp office here in our small town.
